MADE IN PIGALLE (“We”, “Us” or “Our”) with www.made-in-pigalle.com (the “Website”) operates as an EShop offering perfumery, cosmetics and accessories marketed by MADE IN PIGALLE and offered for sale on the Website.

 

We take your privacy very seriously. Please read our privacy policy carefully to get a clear understanding of our practices with respect to how we collect, use, protect or otherwise handle your Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in accordance with our website and the applicable law.

  • When and how do we collect information?

 

MADE IN PIGALLE collects personal information when you visit our website, when you search for one of our products and when you create an account or login to your account.

 

1.1 Information that you give us 

When you create an account on MADE IN PIGALLE we ask you to provide personal information like gender, first name, last name, email address, phone number and date of birth to complete your account. This information is stored and linked to your personal account on MADE IN PIGALLE. By linking your account to a third party (e.g. Facebook) we will obtain personal information that you have provided to the third party and by doing so, you expressly authorize such third party to share your personal information with us. 

 

1.2 Log Data

We collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our website. This Log Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol (“IP”) address, browser type, browser version, the pages of our website that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages and other statistics. We use this information for (i) analytical purposes, to understand what works well on the website and to improve the customer journey (ii) to display relevant content to consumers visiting the website, (iii) to display by default the chosen language of the browser

In addition, we may use third party services such as Google Analytics to collect, monitor and analyze this.

Such third party websites may have separate privacy and data collection practices, independent of MADE IN PIGALLE. If you choose to visit a third party’s website or use its products or services, please be aware that this privacy policy will not govern your activities and any information you disclose to such third party. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. MADE IN PIGALLE has no responsibility or liability for these independent policies, or lack thereof, any actions or omissions of such third party websites or the owners thereof, or any of your actions or omissions when linking to such third party websites from the Website which you do entirely at your own risk. We strongly encourage you to read the privacy policies of the third party websites that you visit. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

 

  1. What personal information do we collect?

MADE IN PIGALLE automatically receives and records information in our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, your name, email, phone number and country of residence. MADE IN PIGALLE does not require that you enter any personal information to search on www.made-in-pigalle.com, nor when being transferred to third-party websites. 

 

We do however require you to create an account or login when you want to buy a product from our website. When creating an account, we require you to provide the following information, first and last name, email address, birth date, address, ZIP, either state or region, country of residence, gender and phone number. 

 

We also track your preferences for specific products so that when you buy on MADE IN PIGALLE that can be used to offer products that might interest you, show relevant content and promote certain offers to you, which are in line with the interest we pick up from your historical behavior on the website.  

 

  1. How do we use your Information? 

MADE IN PIGALLE uses your personal information for the following purposes:

  • to verify your authorization to access certain features of the site,
  • to fulfill your requests for products or services,
  • to personalize and customize the content of the website,
  • to contact you, e.g. if you have subscribed to a newsletter,
  • to improve our services,
  • to provide reporting,

3.1 Marketing purposes

For marketing purposes, we use your personal information like name, email address, but also preferences and past booking information to target you for specific offers, promotions and information. This can be done by our newsletter, targeted banner, retargeting around the internet and other services. If you wish not to be targeted by our marketing efforts you can email us at bonjour@made-in-pigalle.com or if you receive a marketing newsletter you can also click on the unsubscribe link in the footer of the email. Please note that booking confirmation and other emails like that are not considered marketing emails. 

 

3.2 Information Sharing and Disclosure

MADE IN PIGALLE does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or companies except (i) to provide products or services you’ve requested including, without limitation, products and services from third parties, (ii) when we have your permission, or (iii) under the following circumstances:

 (i) In response to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims; when we believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of MADE IN PIGALLE ‘s Terms of Service, or as otherwise required by law;

(ii) We may transfer information about you if MADE IN PIGALLE is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, MADE IN PIGALLE will notify you by sending a notice to the email address specified in your MADE IN PIGALLE account before information about you becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

 

This does not include website hosting partners and other parties who assist us in operating our website so long as our agreements with such third parties provide for such parties’ commitment to give the same level of protection as we do when handling your personal data and restrict their use of your personal data for the purpose of our agreements only. 

 

However, non-personally identifiable visitor information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses. 

 

3.3 Confidentiality and Security within MADE IN PIGALLE 

We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe have a legitimate need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs. MADE IN PIGALLE employs procedural and technical measures reasonably designed to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure. Although we use our best efforts to store the information collected in a secure operating environment that is not accessible to the public, we cannot guarantee complete security.

 

 

  1. Accessing, Objecting and Correcting Your Personal Information

 

This Privacy Policy is effective as of 23 June 2020 and will remain in effect except with respect to any changes in its provisions in the future, which will be in effect immediately after being posted on this page. In accordance of the French law, No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on Information Technology, Files and Freedoms, you have a right to access and correct personal data about treatment of your personal identifying data. You have the right to access, to object or to correct certain information via the Registration page. 

 

Upon your request, we will deactivate your account, and remove your personal information from active service. Upon request of deactivating your account, we will retain in our files and databases personal information to prevent fraud, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with any investigations, to enforce our Terms of Use and comply with legal requirements as permitted by law, for up to 12 months after the date of receipt of the deactivation request. Therefore, you should not expect that all of your personal information will be completely removed from our databases in response to your request right away.

 

If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future marketing emails, you can email us at bonjour@made-in-pigalle.com and we will promptly remove you from all correspondence, except legal correspondence.

MADE IN PIGALLE may update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the email address specified in your MADE IN PIGALLE account or by placing a notice on our site. 

 

This Privacy Policy is shall be governed by French law. You submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris in respect of any dispute or matter arising out of or connected with this Privacy Policy. However, as a consumer, nothing in this Agreement shall deprive you of the protection granted by the provisions of your local which if such laws are of public policy (in particular those defining consumer rights).
